Proposed construction of public road adjoining Tuen Hing Road gazetted

     The Government gazetted today (December 24) the proposed construction of a carriageway and footpaths adjoining Tuen Hing Road in Tuen Mun to serve the future public housing development near Tuen Hing Road.

     Details of the proposed works are set out in the Annex. The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

     The gazette notice, scheme, plan and location plan are available at www.thb.gov.hk/eng/psp/publications/transport/gazette/gazette.htm.

     Any person who wishes to object to the works or the use, or both, is required to address to the Secretary for Transport and Housing an objection in writing, which can be submitted via the following means:
 

  • By post or by hand to the Transport and Housing Bureau’s drop-in box No. 6 located at the entrance on 2/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong. The box is available for use between 8am and 7pm from Monday to Friday (except public holidays);
  • By fax to 2868 4643; or
  • By email to gazettethb@thb.gov.hk.

     A notice of objection should describe the objector’s interest and the manner in which he or she alleges that he or she will be affected by the works or the use. Objectors are requested to provide contact details to facilitate communication. A notice of objection should be delivered to the Secretary for Transport and Housing not later than February 22, 2022. read more

Proposed barrier-free access at footbridge across Harcourt Road gazetted

     The Government gazetted today (December 24) the proposed construction of a covered footbridge with lift to connect the existing footbridge across Harcourt Road near Edinburgh Place to provide barrier-free access for the public.

     Details of the proposal are set out in the Annex. The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

Public reminded to observe regulations on prohibition of group gatherings and not to litter during festive season

Attention radio/TV announcers:
 
Please broadcast the following at suitable intervals:
 
     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) reminds members of the public to maintain an appropriate social distance with other people as far as possible at the department’s venues tonight (December 24). In particular, they should strictly observe regulations on the prohibition of group gatherings, and should wear masks at all times in any public place. Offenders are liable to prosecution.

     Members of the public should also keep places clean and put rubbish in rubbish bins. Anyone not disposing of rubbish properly is liable to a fixed penalty of $1,500.

     Please remember that the Hong Kong Cultural Centre piazza area, Salisbury Garden and the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade will implement crowd management measures. Venues will step up patrols, and the LCSD appeals to members of the public to follow the regulations on the prohibition of group gatherings of more than the number of people as stipulated by the law, and the mask-wearing requirement in public places and to keep places clean. Enforcement actions will be taken against offenders. People who intend to go there should follow the instructions of the duty personnel and mind their safety. read more
