The Secretary for Health, Professor Lo Chung-mau, today (April 12) expressed sorrow over the passing of the Hospital Authority (HA) Board Member, Ms Maisy Ho, and extended his deepest condolences to her family.

     Professor Lo said, “Ms Ho has great enthusiasm for community services, in particular care about the underprivileged. As an HA Board Member, Ms Ho offered insightful and valuable advice on public healthcare services. Even when she has fallen sick, she still attended HA’s events to show her support to and concern about the development of the public healthcare services. I am deeply saddened by the passing of Ms Ho and would like to express deepest condolences to her family on behalf of the Health Bureau.”

     The Chairman of the Hospital Authority (HA), Mr Henry Fan, today (April 12) expressed profound sorrow over the passing of HA Board Member Maisy Ho and extended his deepest condolences to her family.

     Mr Fan remarked, “Ms Ho was a distinguished figure in the business community and demonstrated great enthusiasm for public services. She cared deeply about the healthcare of the public, and frequently offered insightful and constructive advice for the enhancement of public hospital services. The HA Board and all staff are deeply saddened by her passing.”

     Maisy Ho was appointed as a member of the HA Board in December 2021 and subsequently assumed the position of the Chairman of Hospital Governing Committee of Shatin Hospital in April 2023.
