Hongkong Post unveils exciting “Stamps of Time” for 2020

     Hongkong Post today (October 14) announced the 12 sets of special stamps to be issued in 2020 under the title "Stamps of Time", offering impressively designed stamp products for philatelists and the public.
 
     "Bruce Lee's Legacy in the World of Martial Arts" is expected to be one of the most appealing issues of the year when it is released on November 27, 2020, the day of the 80th anniversary of Bruce Lee's birth, to pay tribute to his long-lasting global influence in Chinese martial arts.
 
     A set of four stamps with the theme "Year of the Rat" to be issued on January 11, 2020, will feature images of the agile rat crafted in clay, embroidery, ceramic and glass. Coupled with a Gold and Silver Stamp Sheetlet and a Silk Stamp, this stamp issue will showcase the festivities of the Lunar New Year.
 
     As the first stamp issue of the new "24 Solar Terms" series, a set of six stamps in "24 Solar Terms – Spring" will present the ambience of the six solar terms for spring, namely "Spring Commences", "Spring Showers", "Insects Waken", "Vernal Equinox", "Bright and Clear" and "Corn Rain". This set of stamps in a first-ever semi-circular shape will be issued on February 4, 2020, the day of the traditional solar term "Spring Commences".
 
    "Children Stamps – Chess Games Delight", to be released after Children's Day in April, will remind both the young and the old of the joy and fun of playing the popular games Chinese chess, jungle, aeroplane chess, chess, Chinese checkers and go.
 
    The past and present photos shown on the se-tenant and tête-bêche stamps of "Hong Kong Past and Present Series – Victoria Harbour" will represent the transformation of the harbour since 1960s. The issue of "Games of the XXXII Olympiad Tokyo 2020" scheduled for July 24, 2020, the opening day of the Tokyo Olympics, will feature sports in which Hong Kong athletes have won medals before or are eligible to take part in during the coming Olympics.
 
    Hand-picked masterpieces from Chinese painters Zhang Daqian, Shi Tao, Chen Zi, Lu Zhi and Tang Yin will be exhibited on the stamps of "Hong Kong Museums Collection – Selection from the Chih Lo Lou Collection", while the "World Heritage in China Series No. 9: Qinghai Hoh Xil" stamp sheetlet will present the scenic grandeur of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau in the form of a "widescreen" stamp.
 
     In the "Hong Kong Theme Park – Ocean Park Hong Kong" issue, Hong Kongers' decades-long and joyful memories of Ocean Park are recollected. The stamps of "Centenary of Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association" and "Centenary of Hong Kong Correctional Services Department" are designed to mark contributions spanning a century, while the "Hong Kong · International Legal Hub" issue will reflect Hong Kong's advantages in terms of its long-established and sound legal system.
 
     Customers may place advance orders for products of "Stamps of Time" for 2020 from tomorrow (October 15), and order forms are available at all post offices and the Hongkong Post website. Attractive gifts and bonus points are offered to customers who place orders by November 11. Those who order through Hongkong Post's online platform ShopThruPost (shopthrupost.hongkongpost.hk) will enjoy extra bonus points as well.
