Hongkong Post announced today (September 16) the release of a special stamp issue on the theme of "70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" on National Day, October 1.
As a service enhancement this time, a new round of advance order services will commence on September 17 until October 1, (both days inclusive) for customers to place additional orders for this set of special stamps and associated philatelic products. Customers can also acquire an exceptional set of serviced first day covers with special stamps and postmarks (of October 1, 2019) at all 38 philatelic offices without the need of visiting the actual outlets. Orders newly placed will be available for collection from October 30.
Customers who have previously ordered this set of special stamps and associated philatelic products on or before August 30 may collect their ordered products from October 2. They may also place additional orders under the new round of advance order services mentioned above. This set of special stamps and associated philatelic products will be put on sale at all post offices from October 2.
On the public holiday of October 1, all post offices (including all post office box lobbies) will be closed, and mail delivery and collection services will not be provided. In accordance with the usual practice, mail posted on the public holiday will be processed on the next working day.
