Hong Kong, China Delegation to Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games to be greeted by public in bus parade

     â€‹The Hong Kong, China Delegation to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games has achieved distinguished results in the Games. To celebrate their triumphant return, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) will hold a bus parade for the Delegation to get up close with the public in the morning of August 19 (Thursday).
      
     The Hong Kong athletes, coaches and other Delegation members will set off from Hung Hom in two open-top buses and arrive at the Xiqu Centre of the West Kowloon Cultural District to attend a welcome home ceremony prepared for them by the HKSAR Government and the SF&OC.
      
     The best viewing locations for the bus parade for the public will be along Nathan Road and Canton Road. The buses will arrive at the junction of Jordan Road and Nathan Road at around 9.40am, and will then proceed along Nathan Road southbound and tour through the section of Canton Road near Harbour City. Members of the public are welcome to greet and cheer for the Hong Kong athletes to show their support at the above locations and share the joy of the athletes who successfully challenged themselves and obtained remarkable results.
      
     To minimise the risk of latent transmission chains of COVID-19 in the community, members of the public should abide by the relevant anti-epidemic regulations and maintain appropriate social distancing when viewing the bus parade.
