A solar-powered electric car built by students of engineering disciplines at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) will participate in the World Solar Challenge 2023, a contest that involves driving 3 000 kilometres across the Australian Outback, later this month.
News.gov.hk spoke to IVE Deputy Academic Director (Engineering) Lam Tze-shan and participating students to learn about the vehicle's design and production, and about how they are preparing for the race.
