In March, Hong Kong International Airport became the first worldwide to receive a new industry certification for the management of transporting perishable cargo.

The Airport Authority believes the new certification places Hong Kong in an even better position to become the transhipment hub for perishables for the entire Greater Bay Area.

News.gov.hk spoke to the authority's commercial executive director and the accredited members of the airport community to find out how they ensure compliance to the global standard.

The story appears on news.gov.hk (September 15) in text and video format.
