Government condemns attack on Legislative Councillor

     A Government spokesman today (November 6) strongly condemned the attack on Legislative Councillor Mr Junius Ho. Mr Ho sustained injury after being stabbed in Tuen Mun this morning. The Police arrested a male suspect and will conduct in-depth investigation.

     The spokesman pointed out that Hong Kong has all along been a pluralistic and inclusive society and members of the public should express their views in a peaceful and rational manner with respect for each other. The Government will not tolerate any violent acts and the Police will continue to strictly enforce the law to safeguard peace in society.
