Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan in the small hours today (October 14) in which a 32-year-old man died.
At about 3.25 am, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 32-year-old man was travelling along Ching Cheung Road eastbound. When approaching near Lei Cheng Uk Estate, it reportedly lost control and rammed into a lamp post.
The driver was trapped inside the compartment and was rescued by firemen. Sustaining injuries to his chest and legs, he was rushed to Caritas Medical Centre in unconscious state and was certified dead at 5.03am.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
