The Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre of the Art Promotion Office is holding the "Art Specialist Course 2019-20 Graduation Exhibition" from today (January 17) to February 2. The exhibition showcases 29 graduates' achievements and innovative ideas, while inviting the public to appreciate the bold new art pieces created by these up-and-coming artists.

The Art Specialist Course 2019-20 comprised the disciplines of ceramics, ink painting and sculpture. The ceramics course covered theories, critics and creations, and introduced the history and development of ceramics both locally and internationally. The ink painting course took a progressive approach, which enabled students to master the skills of traditional Chinese painting, while developing their own ink art creations. The sculpture course included both theoretical and practical training, and guided students to explore the possibilities inherent in three-dimensional structures and contemporary sculpture.

Details of the Art Specialist Course 2020-21 will be released shortly. Please stay tuned to the art centre's website and Facebook page for more information.
