An appeal for a missing in-patient of Queen Elizabeth Hospital

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     The spokesperson for Queen Elizabeth Hospital made the following appeal today (October 11) regarding an in-patient found missing:

     A female patient aged 30 with chronic illnesses was admitted to antenatal ward in Queen Elizabeth Hospital on October 10 for abdominal pain. The patient was at about 24 weeks of pregnancy at that time. The ward found the patient missing on the same day around 8pm. Hospital security guards were mobilised to search within the hospital compound but these efforts were in vain. The hospital reported to the Police for assistance on the same day. Patient's relatives were informed of this incident.

     The patient is about 1.6 metres tall and of medium build. She has black straight hair to shoulders. She was last seen wearing pink hospital patient clothes.

     The hospital appeals to the public to contact the Police or call the hospital hotline at 3506 8944 if they know the whereabouts of the patient.

     The hospital has reported the incident to the Hospital Authority Head Office via the Advance Incidents Reporting System. The hospital will continue to fully cooperate with the Police to locate the patient.
