A drive to boost Northern Ireland’s health and social care workforce during the Covid-19 pandemic is receiving a really positive response, Minister Robin Swann has announced.

Following agreement by the Executive, the Department of Health has published The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020.

Sweeping new powers will come into force across Northern Ireland tonight at 11pm to combat the spread of Coronavirus.

Economy Minister Diane Dodds and Health Minster Robin Swann today urged companies across Northern Ireland to prioritise the safety of their staff. They also reminded workers of their obligation to protect themselves and their co-workers during this crisis.
