The Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) has launched a recruitment campaign for over 300 permanent Administrative Officers across Northern Ireland.

The starting salary is £20,951 and the closing date is noon on 23rd December.

The Head of the Civil Service has announced his intention to retire at the end of August after more than three years in the post.

These statistical bulletins present data on and facilitate monitoring of population indicators informing Outcome 9 of The Outcomes Delivery Plan 2018/19: ‘We are a shared, welcoming and confident society that respects diversity’. All figures are 2018 unless otherwise stated.

The annual January monitoring round process is currently underway. During this process Departments declare reduced requirements and surrender any funding no longer required to the Department of Finance for reallocation. These reallocations are normally made in January.

The Department of Health has today met with trade unions to outline fresh pay proposals to end the current industrial dispute. The new offer involves an additional £28m.
