A £230,000 carriageway and footway resurfacing scheme on Main Street, Donaghcloney is due to commence on Monday 7 September 2020. The improvement work will extend a distance of approximately 950 metres from its junction with Hall Road to its junction with Donaghcloney Road. The scheme includes resurfacing of the carriageway and footways and upgrading of road drainage. The newly resurfaced footway will enhance provision for pedestrians.
A £146,000 resurfacing scheme on the A1 Laganbank Road, Lisburn will commence on 31 August 2020. The scheme, which will also refresh the advanced stop lines for cyclists, stretches from Queen’s Road to Hillsborough Road, and will deliver significant benefits for all road users.
Communities Minister Carál Ní Chuilín is extending legislation to protect private renters from eviction during the pandemic, to 31 March 2021.
