Tenders invited for tenancy of government property

     The Government Property Agency is inviting tenders for a three-year tenancy of Shop No. 2 in the Restricted Area on the Departure Level of China Hong Kong City, China Ferry Terminal, 33 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

     The premises should only be used for general retail purposes (including storage, sale and display of duty-free liquor, cigarettes, cigars and other tobacco products).

     The tender notice was uploaded today (June 11) to the Agency's website: www.gpa.gov.hk. Tender documents are available for collection at the Government Property Agency, 9/F, South Tower, West Kowloon Government Offices, 11 Hoi Ting Road, Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon, during the period from 9am to 6pm from Mondays to Fridays, except public holidays. The documents can also be downloaded from the Agency's website. 

     Interested tenderers who wish to attend a site inspection should make a prior appointment with the Government Property Agency by calling 3842 6777 on or before June 21 this year.

    Tenderers must submit their tenders by placing them in the Government Logistics Department Tender Box situated on the Ground Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong, before noon on July 5 this year. Late tenders will not be accepted.




Fraudulent websites and phishing instant messages related to The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited

The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority:
 
     The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) wishes to alert members of the public to a press release issued by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited relating to fraudulent websites and phishing instant messages, which has been reported to the HKMA. A hyperlink to the press release is available on the HKMA website.
      
     Anyone who has provided his or her personal information, or who has conducted any financial transactions, through or in response to the websites concerned, should contact the bank using the contact information provided in the press release, and report the matter to the Police by contacting the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force at 2860 5012.




Labour Department to hold seminar on Minimum Wage Ordinance

     The Labour Department will hold a seminar on the Minimum Wage Ordinance on July 7 (Wednesday) at 3pm at the Hall of Mei Foo Community Hall, 1/F, Mei Foo Government Complex, 33 Mei Lai Road, Mei Foo, Sham Shui Po. Enrolment is now open.

     The Minimum Wage Ordinance as well as family-friendly employment practices will be introduced in the seminar. Employers, employees and human resources practitioners are welcome to attend.

     The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese and admission is free. Seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and the enrolment deadline is June 29. The enrolment form can be downloaded from the department's website (www.labour.gov.hk/eng/news/press20210707.htm). Missing man in Sham Shui Po located

     A man who went missing in Sham Shui Po has been located.

     Mok Ping-chuen, aged 71, went missing after he left his residence at Fu Cheong Estate on June 2 afternoon. His family made a report to Police on June 4.

     The man returned to his residence yesterday (June 10) afternoon.

     Please broadcast the following message as soon as possible and repeat it at suitable intervals:

     As Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 has been issued, the Marine Department reminds vessel owners, masters and persons-in-charge of vessels that they should take precautionary measures immediately and properly secure their vessels at safe locations.

     In case of an accident, a report should be made immediately to the Vessel Traffic Centre at 2233 7801.
