Liquor Licensing Board to meet on Tuesday

The following is issued on behalf of the Liquor Licensing Board:

     The Liquor Licensing Board (LLB) will meet on Tuesday (June 13) to consider two applications for renewal and amendment of liquor licences.

     The applications are (not in order of discussion):
 
Hong Kong:

8 OWL in Central

Kowloon:
—————
Red Mr KTV in Mong Kok

     The board will also consider revocation of the liquor licences of KINN NO KURA in Tai Hang and Mirch Masala Indian Restaurant in Discovery Bay.

     The meeting will be held at 9.45am in the conference room, Room 102, 1/F, 258 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai. Members of the public are welcome to attend.




Red flags hoisted at Shek O Beach and Hap Mun Bay Beach

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (June 11) that due to big waves, red flags have been hoisted at Shek O Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island; and Hap Mun Bay Beach in Sai Kung District. Beachgoers are advised not to swim at these beaches.




Smart tech aids Hong Kong’s environment

     The Environmental Protection Department's Innovation and Technology Task Force is utilising smart technology with the goal of identifying sources of underwater pollution and enhancing efficiency and safety in its operations.
 
     News.gov.hk spoke to members of the task force to learn more about the department's innovative use of an unmanned sampling submarine to help solve pollution investigations and monitor the environment.
