Reopening of some LCSD’s gazetted beaches under its management

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (September 10) that some gazetted beaches under LCSD management temporarily closed earlier due to inspection and clearance works of damages and miscellaneous articles caused by the extreme weather conditions, have been reopened today.

Update on cluster of COVID-19 cases in Kwai Chung Hospital

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     Regarding an earlier announcement on a cluster of patients infected with COVID-19 in a post-admission ward, the spokesperson for Kwai Chung Hospital made the following update today (September 10):

     Following a contact tracing investigation, three more female patients (aged 50 to 62) in the ward have presented with fever symptoms and tested positive for COVID-19. The patients concerned are being treated in isolation and are in stable condition.

     Admission to the ward and visiting arrangements have been suspended. Infection control measures have already been stepped up according to established guidelines. All other patients in the ward are under close surveillance.

     The cases have been reported to the Hospital Authority Head Office and the Centre for Health Protection for necessary follow up.




Labour Department investigates fatal work accident in Sha Tin

     The Labour Department (LD) is investigating a fatal work accident that happened in Sha Tin this morning (September 10) in which a man died.

     The LD immediately deployed staff to the scene upon receiving a report of the accident, and is now conducting an investigation to look into its cause.




Arrangement for service resumption of Shau Kei Wan Methadone Clinic

     The Department of Health announced that Shau Kei Wan Methadone Clinic will resume service tonight (September 10). Due to the condition of the pavement, the main entrance of the methadone clinic will remain closed. Those who have been receiving methadone treatment are advised to follow instructions on site and access the clinic by the entrance at the carpark gate.




Red flag hoisted at Hap Mun Bay Beach
