     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (October 6) that due to big waves, the red flag has been hoisted at Stanley Main Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island. Beachgoers are advised not to swim at the beach.

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (October 6) that due to big waves, red flags have been hoisted at Shek O Beach and Big Wave Bay Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island. Beachgoers are advised not to swim at these beaches.




37th round of computer ballot registration for submitting applications for Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles to be open October 7 to 10

     The Transport Department today (October 6) reminded members of the public that the 37th round of computer ballot registration for submitting applications for Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles (the scheme) will be open from 10am tomorrow (October 7) to 11.59pm on October 10, and the ballot result will be announced on October 11.
      
     Eligible applicants for the scheme can register for computer balloting through the designated website (www.hzmbqfs.gov.hk). Successful balloting applicants are required to submit applications for the scheme within the designated date and time randomly allocated by the computer system.




Telling good stories through stamps

     To mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Hongkong Post has revamped the exhibits in its new Postal Gallery in Kowloon Bay, displaying more than 40 sets of special stamps to tell the story of the development of the country and Hong Kong.
