     The Civil Engineering and Development Department today (September 2) announced that the the Mui Wo Temporary Public Fill Reception Facility is scheduled to reopen at 1pm.

     Please broadcast the following message as soon as possible and repeat it at suitable intervals:
 
     As Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.1 has been issued, the Marine Department reminds vessel owners, masters and persons-in-charge of vessels that they should take precautionary measures immediately and properly secure their vessels at safe locations.
 
     In case of an accident, a report should be made immediately to the Vessel Traffic Centre at 2233 7801.




Red flags hoisted at several beaches

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (September 2) that due to big waves, red flags have been hoisted at Hung Shing Yeh Beach, Lo So Shing Beach, Kwun Yam Beach, Cheung Chau Tung Wan Beach, Silver Mine Bay Beach, Pui O Beach, Upper Cheung Sha Beach, Lower Cheung Sha Beach and Tong Fuk Beach in the Islands District; and Silverstrand Beach, Clear Water Bay First Beach and Clear Water Bay Second Beach in Sai Kung District. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at these beaches.




HAD’s emergency hotline stood down

     As Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 has been cancelled, the Home Affairs Department's emergency hotline 2835 1473 has ceased to operate.




Classes of kindergartens and some special schools are suspended

     Please broadcast the following special announcement by the Education Bureau concerning schools, and repeat it at suitable intervals:

     As the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal no.3 is now in force, classes of kindergartens (including PM classes of kindergartens), schools for children with physical disability and schools for children with intellectual disability are suspended today.
