Appeal for information on missing man in Kwai Chung (with photo)

Police today (February 1) appealed to the public for information on a man who went missing in Kwai Chung.

Yung Tsz-kit, aged 36, went missing after he left his residence in Fu Yin House, Tai Wo Hau Estate on January 17 afternoon. His family made a report to Police on January 21.

He is about 1.75 metres tall, 73 kilograms in weight and of medium build. He has a long face with yellow complexion and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt, grey shorts and black shoes.

Census and Statistics Department appeals to respondents to respond to statistical surveys through online and telephone means

     To tie in with the Government's announcement of the extension of the special work arrangement until February 9 and the provision of basic and limited public services, the Census and Statistics Department (C&SD) will conduct essential data collection work for statistical surveys on a limited scale during the aforementioned period so that key social and economic statistics can be released as scheduled. 
 
     In order to reduce human-to-human contacts, a C&SD spokesman today (February 1) appealed to survey respondents to complete the surveys using the Online Questionnaire System (OQS), the electronic questionnaire template or by telephone interview by calling C&SD. Details on how to use the OQS, the electronic questionnaire template and the enquiry telephone numbers of the surveys are provided in the invitation letters that had been sent to the sampled respondents by C&SD.  Meanwhile, for those respondents whose telephone contacts are available to C&SD, enumerators of C&SD will contact them for telephone interviews. AFCD provides basic and limited public services starting from next week

     In light of the extension of special work arrangements for government departments and the latest development of the novel coronavirus infection, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) announced today (February 1) that starting from next Monday (February 3), licensing services counters at Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices and the Marine Parks Office at CDW Building, 388 Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan will provide basic and limited public services to members of the public. Relevant services will be provided on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9.30am to noon and 2pm to 5pm, until further notice.

     The AFCD appeals to the public to use the above counter services only when in urgent need. Members of the public are encouraged to handle their licence or permit applications through email, post or fax. For detailed information and contacts, please refer to the AFCD website: www.afcd.gov.hk.

     Meanwhile, AFCD public facilities including the Hong Kong Wetland Park, eight Country Park Visitor/Education Centres, seven Hong Kong Geopark Park Visitor Centres and the Endangered Species Resources Centre will remain temporarily closed.

GLD’s latest service arrangement

     The Government Logistics Department (GLD) announced today (February 1) that the provision of its Gazette service will continue to be provided from February 3 (Monday). Meanwhile, the GLD Collection Office on 10/F North Point Government Offices will provide collection of Gazette fee services on February 3 and February 4 (Tuesday) from 8.30am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm. For enquiries, please call 2537 1910 between 9am and 6pm.




Special traffic arrangement for Guangdong-Hong Kong cross-boundary private cars

     The Transport Department announced today (February 1) a special traffic arrangement for Guangdong-Hong Kong cross-boundary private cars.  
 
     Guangdong-Hong Kong cross-boundary private cars under the regular quota and issued with valid Closed Road Permits (CRPs) for using Sha Tau Kok or Man Kam To Control Point will be allowed to use Shenzhen Bay Port to travel between Guangdong and Hong Kong starting from midnight on February 3 (Monday) until further notice.
 
     Guangdong-Hong Kong cross-boundary private cars under the regular quota and issued with valid CRPs for using the Lok Ma Chau Control Point and the Shenzhen Bay Port will not be affected and can continue using these two crossings to travel between the two places.
