Postal services from the United States

     Hongkong Post announced today (February 12) that, as advised by the United States Postal Service (USPS), postal services originating from the United States to Hong Kong remain normal, while priority mail express international service (i.e. Speedpost) items for Hong Kong may be subject to delay due to widespread flight cancellations. In addition, mail transiting the USPS from other regions to Hong Kong have been suspended.




Appeal for information on missing man in Tin Sum (with photo)

     Police today (February 12) appealed to the public for information on a man who went missing in Tin Sum.
           
     Lam Chi-wang, aged 29, went missing after he left his residence in Sha Kok Estate on February 6. His guardian made a report to Police yesterday (February 11).

     He is about 1.7 metres tall, 56 kilograms in weight and of thin build. He has a long face with yellow complexion and short straight black hair. He was last seen wearing camouflage jacket, beige trousers and blue slippers.

     Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the missing man or may have seen him is urged to contact the Regional Missing Person Unit of New Territories South on 3661 1173 or 6099 3830 or email to rmpu-nts-2@police.gov.hk, or contact any police station.

Appeal for information on missing woman in Tsuen Wan (with photo)

     Police today (February 12) appealed to the public for information on a woman who went missing in Tsuen Wan.

     Chan On-wing, aged 19, went missing after she left her residence in Lei Muk Shue Estate last night (February 11). Her family made a report to Police today.

     She is about 1.65 metres tall, 43 kilograms in weight and of thin build. She has a pointed face with yellow complexion and long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a beige long-sleeved jacket, dark-coloured trousers and white sports shoes.

     Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the missing woman or may have seen her is urged to contact the Regional Missing Person Unit of New Territories South on 3661 1176, 9689 7445 or email to rmpu-nts-2@police.gov.hk, or contact any police station.

Government renders utmost assistance to Hong Kong people in Hubei infected with novel coronavirus

     A spokesman for the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau said today (February 12) that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has recently received notifications from the relevant Mainland authorities and the Wuhan Economic and Trade Office (Wuhan ETO) that there are 10 Hong Kong people, involving three families, infected with novel coronavirus in Hubei. Seven of them are staying in Wuhan and three are in Enshi. 

     "After being informed of the situation, we immediately tasked the Wuhan ETO to render all possible assistance to the Hong Kong people concerned. Thanks to the efforts devoted by Wuhan ETO in coordinating with the relevant authorities, six of them have been admitted to local hospitals within a short time, while the remaining four have made their own way to seek medical treatment from hospitals. At present, all of them are being treated in local hospitals and are generally in stable condition," the spokesman said.

    "The Wuhan ETO will continue to maintain close communication with the people concerned, and will try its very best to provide assistance to them to ensure that they are receiving suitable treatment and medical care."




Tender results of 10-year Government Bonds under Institutional Bond Issuance Programme

     The Hong Kong Monetary Authority, as representative of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (HKSAR Government), announces today (February 12) that tender for a 10-year Government Bond (issue number 10GB2901) under the Institutional Bond Issuance Programme was held today.
      
     A total of HK$1.7 billion 10-year Government Bonds were allocated today.  A total of HK$7.450 billion tender applications were received.  The bid-to-cover ratio, i.e. the ratio of bonds applied for to bonds issued, is 4.38.  The average price accepted is 104.15, implying an annualised yield of 1.478 per cent.
