Security guard employed by Housing Department contractor at Sun Chui Estate tests positive for COVID-19

     The Housing Department today (November 26) learned that a security guard employed by its contractor tested positive for COVID-19. The security guard concerned worked at Sun Wai House, Sun Chui Estate. She is now in hospital for treatment.
 
     The security guard normally works on morning shift and stays at the guard counter of Sun Wai House. She last performed duties on November 24. The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) notified her today that she had tested positive for COVID-19.   
 
     The security guard has no recent travel history. She has been wearing a face mask and has been observing relevant disease prevention measures at work. When performing duties, she has been undergoing temperature checks and her body temperature was normal.
 
     The common areas of Sun Wai House and the estate management office of Sun Chui Estate have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in accordance with the guidelines of the CHP.
 
     The Housing Department will continue to keep close liaison with the CHP and co-operate with its quarantine work.
