Security guard employed by Housing Department contractor at Fu Shan Estate tests positive for COVID-19

     The Housing Department today (November 25) learned that a security guard employed by its contractor tested positive for COVID-19. The security guard concerned worked at Fu Fai House, Fu Shan Estate. He is now in hospital for treatment.
 
     The security guard normally works on the night shift and is responsible for patrolling the public areas of Fu Fai House. He last performed duties on November 20. The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) notified him yesterday (November 24) that he had tested positive for COVID-19.   
 
     The security guard has no recent travel history. He has been wearing a face mask and has been observing relevant disease prevention measures at work. When performing duties, he has been undergoing temperature checks and his body temperature was normal.
 
     The security guard is also a tenant residing at Fu Shun House of the estate.
 
     The common areas of Fu Fai House and Fu Shun House as well as the estate management office of Fu Shan Estate have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in accordance with the guidelines of the CHP.
 
     The Housing Department will continue to keep close liaison with the CHP and co-operate with its quarantine work.
