There are times in politics, as in life, that it is great to be vindicated.

Last year’s Referendum result was one of those times, where the nation voted clearly to leave the European Union, a position that I and Ukip had been laughed at and derided for only a couple of years earlier.

UKIP Leader Paul Nuttall has today called for the hardline Islamist organisation, the Muslim Brotherhood, to be proscribed and its activities and related institutions in the UK to be investigated.

UKIP Leader Paul Nuttall MEP held his final press conference before polling day in Westminster this morning with a strong message on national security and a rebuke for those who have attacked the party for wanting to protect Britain.

This is what Paul had to say:

It is clear from the terrorist atrocities over the past month that the government is struggling to protect its own citizens.

And during this election campaign it has emerged that our security and intelligence services are at any one time engaged in thwarting five hundred potential terror plots.

Labour “needed to stop making excuses for Muslims in Britain.”

Posted on June 05, 2017 1:01 PM

Jane Collins MEP, the UKIP Home Affairs Spokesman “Why does Emily Thornberry not think that the Muslim community should consider itself part of the rest of the country and report people who wish to kill and maim?

“The Casey report on integration in the UK highlighted the failures in integration and made many recommendations and said that Governments have failed for more than a decade to ensure that social integration in the UK has kept up with the “unprecedented pace and scale of immigration” and have allowed some local communities to become increasingly divided.

London attack: Paul Nuttall statement

Posted on June 04, 2017 8:38 AM

UKIP Leader Paul Nuttall, “With more people murdered on the streets of our capital city last night by Islamist terrorists, it is more important than ever for us to confront this evil with the democratic principles that have made this country what it is.

“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of those who lost their lives last night. The courage and quick response of our emergency services have yet again saved countless lives and in the midst of such a tragedy, deserve our respect and admiration.

“It is time to start honouring our dead with more than just words. The only guarantee that will come from our choosing to stall the democratic process again will be more attacks; it is what these cowards want us to do.

“For those of us seeking to serve the people of this country, it is our duty to drive the dialogue on how best to confront and defeat this brand of terrorism. That is what UKIP will be doing today and beyond. Therefore, I refuse to suspend campaigning because this is precisely what the extremists would want us to do.”

Mackinlay should do the decent thing and endorse the Brexit candidate in South Thanet

Posted on June 02, 2017 1:43 PM

Following the announcement by the Crown Prosecution Service that charges are being brought against the former MP and current Tory candidate in Thanet South, Craig Mackinlay and others over electoral fraud in the last election, Nigel Farage has said,

“Am I pleased that these charges have been brought? Yes, but I believe there should be more people being charged due to what looks like wholesale electoral fraud by the Tories in recent by-elections and during the last election.

“What it means now it will be a straight fight between Labour and UKIP and I will be in Thanet tomorrow to support our excellent candidate.”

DBOSkihXoAE9JSE.jpgToday in Westminster, UKIP Education Spokesman David Kurten, outlined UKIP’s priorities and agenda for the future of our nation’s education system, and you can watch his speech here.

David Kurten said, “Our education system was once the best in the world, and parts of it still are. But parts of it are failing, particularly to young people who need to develop practical and technical skills

“UKIP recognizes this, so that as we achieve Brexit and move on into the freedom which we have won for our nation, we will once again create a truly world class education system where all children and young people can develop according to their own specific aptitudes and talents, where the pursuit of excellence is honoured and no child is held back.”

Powerful and courageous performance by UKIP Leader

Posted on May 31, 2017 9:55 PM

peterwhittle.jpgTalking about the BBC Election Debate that took place in Cambridge on Thursday night, UKIP Deputy Leader Peter Whittle said, “It’s clear that Paul Nuttall showed a resolve, courage and leadership that has been lacking from the rest of the Westminster establishment.

“Paul spoke to people in Britain who are living in the real world. Unlike the others he was honest, direct, and confident about the future of Britain.

“Despite a blanket of denial from the other speakers, he was prepared to talk about the real threats faced by our society. He was prepared to call out Islamic Extremism for what it is rather than simply restate the platitudes we are so used to. He was realistic about the impact of immigration on jobs and our public services.

Labour to ‘Turbocharge Immigration’ by calling in 100’s of thousands unskilled immigrants threatening working class wages and jobs

“The leaked Labour document makes it crystal clear that Labour has no intention of controlling immigration; in fact Labour wants to turbocharge it, encouraging millions of immigrants to come to the UK, especially unskilled ones”, said John Bickley, the UKIP immigration spokesman.

“Labour simply doesn’t care about the impact 100’s of thousands of unskilled migrants will have on working class jobs, wages, school places, hospital beds, GP appointments and social cohesion. Labour no longer represents the working class of this country; it’s more interested in farming and nurturing votes from ethnic communities who they believe to be a Labour client state. Labour sees electoral advantage in encouraging mass immigration as the majority of migrants that eventually gain voting rights have tended to vote Labour. Since 1997 Labour has been engaged in an exercise of ‘rigging’ the population to gain votes.
