The first conference of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), entitled The State of European Financial Markets, took place on October 17th at the at the Westin Grand Paris – Vendôme. The event, which was attended by over 350 participants and broadcast live, is now available on video playback.

The four panel debates addressed issues critical to European capital markets. Topics included:
