Public consultation: guidance on the assessment of the efficacy of feed additives

EFSA has launched a public consultation on its draft guidance on the assessment of the efficacy of feed additives.

The guidance document is intended to assist the applicant in the preparation and presentation of an application for the authorisation of a feed additive. It specifies what kind of information and data applicants need to include in their dossiers to allow EFSA to assess the efficacy of feed additives.

EFSA invites interested parties to submit written comments by 28 January 2018.




Statement by European institutions on staff level agreement reached with Greek authorities

“The European institutions have reached a staff level agreement with the Greek authorities on the policy package supporting the European Stability Mechanism programme. This will be presented to the Eurogroup next Monday 4 December 2017. The Greek authorities plan to implement the prior actions necessary to conclude the 3rd review as soon as possible”.




Commission will not propose to weaken the deficit criteria of the Stability and Growth Pact

The story run by some German media that the European Commission would propose to weaken the deficit criteria of the Stability and Growth Pact is purely invented. These rumours have nothing to do with the reality. It was never considered within the Commission and has nothing to do with the proposals the Commission is currently working on to deepening Europe’s Economic and Monetary Union.




ESMA seeks two candidates as consumer representatives for its Stakeholder Representative Group

The SMSG helps to facilitate consultation between ESMA, its Board of Supervisors and stakeholders on ESMA’s areas of responsibility and provides technical advice on its policy development. This helps to ensure that stakeholders can contribute to the formulation of policy from the beginning of the process.

Applications must be submitted no later than 23.59 CET on 5 January 2018.
