     A large group of radical protestors were blocking roads in the busy areas of Causeway Bay. They set fire to a trolley of rubbish bins, cardboards and miscellaneous objects, posing a serious threat to the safety of everyone at scene.

     In face of the situation, Police used tear gas in the area to disperse the protestors.

     Police appeal to everyone at scene to leave immediately and strongly condemn the violent acts of protestors.

     The violent protestors gathering in Causeway Bay area continued to block roads extensively, maliciously damaging property and disregarding law and order. 

     After repeated but futile warnings, in face of the situation, Police deployed tear gas in the junction of Hennessy Road and Percival Street, using minimum force to disperse the protestors.

     Police appeal to residents of the area to stay tuned to the latest situation and if necessary, keep their windows shut and stay indoors.
