Protestors blocked Harcourt Road

     At 3pm, protestors gathering in the vicinity of Admiralty blocked the carriageway on Harcourt Road near Central Government Complex, seriously paralysing the traffic.
 
     Police warn protestors to stop blocking the roads and other illegal acts immediately.
 
     Police appeal to the members of the public to stay tuned to the latest traffic arrangement.




Missing woman in Kwai Chung located

     A woman who went missing in Kwai Chung has been located.

     Tse On-ki, aged 43, went missing after she left a rehabilitation home on Tai Loong Street on August 2 morning. A staff member of the centre made a report to Police the following day (August 3).

     The woman returned to the rehabilitation home this morning (August 5).

 




Services at some Labour Department offices suspended

     The Labour Department announced today (August 5) that, owing to mass gathering activities in Tsuen Wan and Sha Tin districts, the services at Tsuen Wan Job Centre, Selective Placement Division (New Territories Office), Employees' Compensation Division (Team C), all located at Tsuen Wan Government Offices; the offices of the Operations Division-Occupational Safety at Chinachem Tsuen Wan Plaza; and Labour Relations Division (Sha Tin and Tai Po Office), Sha Tin Job Centre, Employees' Compensation Division (Team D – Sha Tin Office), Labour Inspection Division (Special Enforcement Team (Sha Tin) and District Office (New Territories East)), all located at Sha Tin Government Offices, have been suspended this afternoon.

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) today (August 5) announced that, due to mass gathering activities in various districts, the following facilities have been closed.

Kennedy Town Swimming Pool, Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park Swimming Pool, Hong Kong Park Sports Centre, Hong Kong Squash Centre, Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park Sports Centre, Sheung Wan Sports Centre, Shek Tong Tsui Sports Centre, Smithfield Sports Centre and Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park soccer pitch, Hong Kong City Hall and Sheung Wan Civic Centre
 
Kowloon
