Fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long in the small hours today (August 31) in which a 35-year-old man died.

     At about 2.30am, a private car was travelling along Kiu Hing Road towards Tai Tong, while two bicycles ridden by the 35-year-old man and a 25-year-old man were travelling along Kiu Hing Road towards the same direction. When approaching near Muk Kiu Tau Tsuen, the private car reportedly hit the two bicycles from behind.  After the impact, the private car driver left the scene.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the 35-year-old man was certified dead at scene. The 25-year-old man sustained multiple injuries.  He was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital in unconscious state.

     Police are looking for the private car driver suspected to be in connection with the case. Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
