PM inaugurates development initiatives in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated building of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, dedicated 400KV Lucknow-Kanpur D/C transmission line and distributed sanction letters to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Lucknow.



Prime Minister’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to Promotion and Development of Yoga announced

The Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute has been selected as the first recipient of the Prime Minister’s Award for outstanding contribution to promotion and development of Yoga. The instiution of the award was announced by the Prime Minister on the occasion of the Second International Day of Yoga at Chandigarh on 21st June, 2016.

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi dedicated POWERGRID’s 400 Kilo Volt(kV) Lucknow – Kanpur Direct Current (D/C) Transmission Line with associated bays to the Nation in Lucknow today.



Cabinet Secretary reviews preparedness for smooth roll-out of GST with effect from 1st July, 2017; Asks Secretaries of different Departments and CMDs of CPSUs to take full responsibility of their respective stake-holders and ensure the successful implementation of the GST.

The Cabinet Secretary Shri P.K.Sinha today took a detailed review of the preparedness for the roll-out of Goods and Services Tax (GST) from 1st July 2017. In a Review Meeting attended by the Secretaries of 30 Ministries/Departments of the Central Government connected with GST, and video conferencing with CMDs/CEOs of about 167 Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) under their administrative control, the Cabinet Secretary asked all those involved to take full responsibility of their respective stake-holders, and ensure the successful implementation of the GST.
