Health Minister officially opens Rapid Diagnosis Centre

Health Minister Mike Nesbitt officially opened the Rapid Diagnosis Centre (RDC) at Whiteabbey Hospital, a service designed to deliver earlier cancer diagnoses, ensure faster access to treatment, and improved outcomes for patients.




Publication of Children Adopted from Care in Northern Ireland 2024/25

The Department of Health has today published the Children Adopted from Care in Northern Ireland 2024/25. This bulletin details statistical information relating to children adopted from care during the year ending 31 March 2025. The tables within the bulletin present a range of information about these children and their adopters, including durations between different stages in the adoption process. The bulletin is based on the DoH statistical return AD1 2024/25, which was collected from each of the five Health and Social Care Trusts.




£55,000 funding boost for Co-operative Research and Awareness

Minister Kimmins announces £700,000 road resurfacing works for A2 Coast Road, Ballygally, Larne

Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins has announced a £700,000 resurfacing scheme along the A2 Coast Road, through Ballygally village. The scheme which will include approximately 2km of carriageway resurfacing, replacing of kerbs and footway is commencing this week.
