A total of 22 proposals of Rs.2200 Cr. appraised and recommended under Nirbhaya Fund

Government of India has set up a dedicated fund called Nirbhaya Fund for implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing the safety and security of women in the country. As per the guidelines of Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Women and Child Development is the nodal authority for appraisal of the schemes/proposals received under Nirbhaya Fund

The Quick Estimates of Index of Industrial Production (IIP) with base 2011-12 for the month of June 2017 have been released by the Central Statistics Office of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.



Kharif Crop Sowing Crosses 943 Lakh Hectare Area

The total sown area as on 11th August 2017, as per reports received from States, stands at 943.45 lakh hectare as compared to 936.95 lakh hectare at this time last year.
